CVV is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your credit card. For Visa, Diners and Mastercard, a three-digit CVV number is located immediately after the account number on the signature panel, on the reverse side of the card. For American Express the CVV is located on the front of the card above the account number. Note that cards issued in Israel have a four-digit CVV whereas those issued elsewhere have a three-digit number.
